The Cause
Carnival Cocktails for Cancer is dedicated to the memory of the late, great and fabulous Jennifer Gardiner aka Jen Unplugged.
Jen passed away in February of 2014 after a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. After her diagnosis Jen met this terrible disease head on, and began actively raising awareness for the importance of clinical trials in finding a cure. Jen also became an inspiration to others fighting their own battles with cancer, starring in a documentary entitled “The Uplife Project” where she shared her story and sought to help others battling this terrible disease. Jen encouraged others to “live fiercely, to live out loud, and to be present in every second of life”, which is a motto she herself lived courageously until her last days.
Jen’s legacy lives on in many ways, including continued fundraising to support research to continue the fight for a cure.
All proceeds from Carnival Cocktails for Cancer will be be directed to support important cancer care and research here in alberta through the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Thank you in advance for your support!
